Michael Hoffenberg

Founder & Managing Principal

Mr. Hoffenberg is the Founder and Managing Principal of Trevian Capital and oversees loan originations, investment structuring, investor relations and portfolio management. At Trevian, Mr. Hoffenberg has raised over $1 billion of institutional equity and originated, structured and managed a portfolio of bridge loans throughout the country.

Prior to Trevian Capital, Mr. Hoffenberg was a Vice President at a privately held commercial real estate private equity investment firm focused in the middle market bridge lending space. Mr. Hoffenberg held dual roles in originations and capital raising/investor relations. Previously, Mr. Hoffenberg was an analyst and loan originator at Guardhill Financial, a residential mortgage banking and brokerage firm.

Mr. Hoffenberg is a member of Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Real Estate Lenders Association (RELA), Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and is on the Steering Committee of the Real Estate Executives group at the United Jewish Appeal. Mr. Hoffenberg holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and Finance from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
